THROUGH THEIR EYES
"When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit."
This year for our Evenings of Reflection, we were blessed to have not one, not two, but FOUR Brahiers assist in preparing our hearts during this Advent season. Families and student parishioners alike gathered to listen to this reflective journey focused around the Nativity story through the eyes of both Mary, Mother of God, and
The evenings were divided into Mary's perspective on Monday, December 2—led by Ann and Annie (daughter-in-law)—and Joseph's—led by Deacon Dan and John (husband of Annie). Both nights were filled with amazing insight on the Holy Parents of Jesus and beautiful witnesses from the soon-to-be parents who are patiently awaiting their first child.
We began with Mary as she experienced a number of tests of her faith from the Annunciation to the Nativity. The following night we explored who Joseph was, since so little is actually recorded about him, but what the Church teaches about the humble father-figure to Christ. Annie will be expecting her delivery to be anytime around Christmas this year. Please keep her and John in your prayers for a safe and healthy delivery.
