A Night of food and fellowship
A great time was had by all at this year’s Parish BBQ! Throughout the evening everyone had a chance to purchase raffle tickets, eat delicious food, dig into some wonderful desserts, and most importantly share in fellowship. To top it all off, the entertainment was superb! It is always wonderful to see the members of the parish come together to enjoy good times and food.
The Parish BBQ had its beginning in 2017 as an idea from the Pastoral Council and has grown to be an event that involves students and year round parishioners. The Council is proud of the collaborative effort to bring members together for great festivities. Added this year to the fundraising efforts was the silent auction of Themed Baskets. This idea was very popular and guests walked away some wonderful baskets to make dinner, enjoy movies, or give into their sweet tooth cravings. We are very thankful for those who generously donated for this event.
We want to give a special thank you to all of the guests who shared their talents with everyone by performing. It was great to see our talented musicians, singers, and artists. They dazzled the crowd with their talents and provided wonderful entertainment for the entire audience.
While the food and festivities are a big part of the BBQ, bringing everyone together to create community is the the true blessing in this event. Thanks to generous donors who gave monetarily, through food donations, time, selling tickets, or working at the event, we were able to call this year another success. Thank you to everyone who come out and helped to make our St. Tom’s community even stronger. Your continued support and generosity is what makes our campus ministry and parish so special and successful. This event truly embodied the giving of times, talents and treasures.
